Our kitchen is a storehouse of a variety of ingredients that are known for their incredible properties not only for our physical well-being but also for our skin health. Amidst the Korean skincare trend, let’s take a look at the kitchen ingredients that you can use to achieve glass glow-like skin without making a hole in your pocket.

Green Tea

Green tea is a popular skincare ingredient used for Korean skincare. It has antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties that brighten the skin, reverse sun damage and reduce inflammation. It contains the polyphenolic compound EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate) which prevents skin infection. Green tea also has a moisturising effect on the skin. You can use it as a cleanser, scrub or toner to enhance your skin health. Dip a green tea bag in boiling water and let it cool before it is on your face with a cotton ball.
