Amrit Udyan also known as Mughal Garden will be open to the public from 2 February 2024 amidst the Udyan Utsav festival 2024. People can explore the garden six days a week from Tuesday to Sunday. According to an official statement released by the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Amrit Udyan will close for a public visit on 31 March 2024. Read on to learn more about the visiting details.
What Does The Garden Include?
Amrit Udyan features the East Lawn, Central Lawn, Long Garden and Circular Garden. Other gardens which include Herbal-I, Herbal-II, Tactile Garden, Bonsai Garden and Arogya Vanam. These gardens were developed during the tenure of former presidents Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Ram Nath Kovind. You can also explore Bal Vatika which is an exclusive garden curated for children featuring the story of a 225-year-old Sheesham tree, a treehouse and a Nature’s classroom. Moreover, there are Bonsai and Circular Gardens also that showcase a diverse array of flora and fauna. You can enjoy a wide variety of refreshments as well available in the food court along with the ongoing exhibitions. There are medical and first aid facilities, drinking water and toilets also available along the public route.
Opening Date Of The Amrit Udyan
The Udyan will open from 2 February 2024 for the public from Tuesday to Sunday. However, it will remain closed on Monday for maintenance purposes. The Udyan will close on 31st March 2024. The Udyan will remain closed on the occasion of Holi on 25 March 2024.
Opening And Closing Timings Of The Amrit Udyan
The opening time of the Amrit Udyan (picnic spots in delhi) is 10 am and the closing time is 5 pm. You can enter from Gate Number 35 of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, near North Avenue. The nearest metro station to Amrit Udyan is Central Secretariat. Moreover, shuttle services are also available from the Central Secretariat.

Amrit Udyan will be open to special visitors on the following dates:
22 February 2024: Differently abled persons
23 February 2024: Defence Forces and Personnel of Paramilitary Forces & Police
01 March 2024: Women and Tribal Women's SHGs
05 March 2024: Children of Orphanages in and around Delhi NCR

Amrit Udyan Ticket Bookings
Entry into the Amrit Udyan is free of cost for the visitors (solo trip places near delhi). However, here are the steps you can follow to book the tickets online:
Visit the official website: visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in.
Go to the homepage and click on ‘Amrit Udyan’.
Now click on the ‘Book Your Visit Now’ option.
Select the date and time and click ‘Continue’.
Select the number of persons within the assigned age groups and click ‘Continue’.
You will have to fill in your mobile number on which you will receive OTP.
Review the details and download the ticket for reference.
The offline tickets are also available and can be booked at the Registration/Information centre or Self Service Kiosks available outside Gate no 35.
